Company is great for getting you foot in the door to get hired for the chemical plant. Lets you get a lot of learning experience.
Cons
No company insurance only thing that is offered is discount at third party insurance provider and it is not great at all. Part time off is offered after being employed for so long but the max amount is 48 hours and that's what you get after being employed 6 months and its stays the same 48 hours no matter if you are there for 10 years. No separate hours for sick time or even a leave for the birth of a child you must use your 48 hours. They consider you part time even though one works 40 plus hours a week and that is how they get away with not providing insurance quoted from an HR rep. Performance evaluation raise is not compensated like it should be. People who does excellent work and that go above and beyond their job gets same thing as someone who does not.
Great place to check when out of a job. As a Kelly Services employee, when on assignment with a different company, it feels as if you actually work for that company and you do not have to continuously report back to Kelly Services regarding work. Feel like more of an interim company to work temporarily for, but is a great way to gain experience in the field for getting hired on directly by another company.
Cons
Benefits are not that great, at least in the Kelly Scientific division. Healthcare coverage is much more expensive than expected. You are stuck with 48 hours of vacation and cannot accumulate more regardless of how long you stay with the company. Certain aspects of the job are repetitive and are done once for Kelly Services and again for the company you are assigned to.
