Worst Job/Con ever

Pros

Looks good on a resume. That's it!. Nothing else! They act like working from home is so convenient and you are so luck to have it. But! You have to install an entire new land line if you don't have one already and install their specific type of cable which requirements keep changing. And you have to pay they lie and say they will reimburse you $ 0.40 an hour for the land line but then they don't they say it comes out of the small $9.15 hourly. So for one low paying job of $9.15 you get two new bills! Costing up to $95 a month or more.

Cons

Everything. You are completely overworked and underpaid and unappreciated. But here is list * They take almost half your pay off the top like a pimp. Average Apple advisor makes $17 to $19 an hour you make $9.15. * Rigorous quizzes and test daily to keep up with Apple product standards. * Promises of all the "MONEY" but no money at all $9.15 is less than you paid for working at a cheap retail store like Forever 21. Your paycheck is like $303.00 a week after tax. * They try to act like "over time is a good thing" and give it some fancy jargon name like "Fast Cash" like your an idiot and don't know it's just working you over time. *They are always putting pressure on you. By like sending you a million e-mails basically just telling you to do your job for no real reason and evaluating you like 3 times a week. * The job in itself is hard dealing with spoiled crazy customers but, they expect you to keep up with that same Apple Genius positive attitude when you are getting half the pay for all the work and worried about your lights getting shut off. *They play on your emotions and act like it is all about the people and Apple. They also try to make you feel like you have to compete in an already highly pressurized environment and quick to remind you how easily you can get fired. I got so stressed I would get constant headaches. *I only worked there about 6 months. That is all it takes for any person with half a brain to get out of that con. * They try to lore you with small Apple prizes and it's like not worth your time. We are all adults workign for our lives and families. If we wanted and iPod Shuffle we would get one already. It was degraded. Like "Hey guys. Keep busting your asses for this low pay and maybe one day you could win this iPod shuffle for a whooping value of $69. Oooh Aghhh don't you want that." * When you ask for a raise for all you hard work (and trust me you do work constantly answering phones and it is hard) They act like you should appreciate your $9.15 and tell you its what you signed to! As soon as I got out . I signed with another agency who paid me $15 out the gate for a better job. *Your schedule is a lie you will work nights. No matter what they say. They lie and say you can change your schedule after 90 days but then they switch and say "Oh only for 100 top performers". When did I ever to compete for a due schedule change? What am I suppose to work this late schedule for the rest of your life with no rotation cause you don't sign to that. * Other advisors are very rude and hang up on you. The company in itself seemed very caty and like who you know. * I never had a good day at work there once and I am certain the stress effect my health. * They stalk your station and always passively accuse of "stealing time" for having a 16 minute first break and not 15 minute. I have 30 minutes of break by law. Do not accuse or harass me for 1 minute. * They keep throwing how we should please Apple in our face. Like try to encourage self-subordination. Like so you think in your own home "I have to please Apple. People depend on me." it's totally sick. And mind you all for $9.15. *They have the most negative outlook on people and very petty. It's like I can feel the business being run by a petty ugly person in charge. It is very snippy and they will personally attack you. So be ready. Most work environments are passively aggressive this one is upfront aggressive and will cut you down when you step out of line for your $9.15.

Pros

-Work from home -Set schedule, yet still pretty Flexible hours -Working for Kelly Services and Apple -Great and helpful leadership This company is very dedicated to it's employees and customers. The job is very challenging, however there are endless resources (websites, documents, other employees, management, ect..) that are always there to help.

Cons

-100% Virtual, so you may never meet anyone face to face. This can have it's pros and cons. The biggest con is the challenge of communication. If you want recognition here, it's totally and highly possible, however since everyone is not exactly in a cubicle next to each other, it can be difficult at times. -Pay does not start out the greatest, but you do get to work from home which saves a lot of time, money and stress.
