      Pros

      Conservative company, job stability, somewhat innovative, good career tracking. Tremendous loyalty to employees - the company really does take care of its people. Not much micro-management - there is an inherent trust by management to the field. Kelly is willing to incur expense if it is justified and a return on that expense can be predicted. Most Kelly employees seem to be really good people.

      Cons

      Not a proactive organization, too conservative, not a tech-forward company, disconnect between corporate HQ and the field. Benefits are not great - insurance is expensive and there is no matching on 401k plans. Supplemental life insurance is generous. Minimal vacation allotment.

      The best HR Boot Camp

      Pros

      Great way to enter the world of HR, you learn a lot and are given a lot of responsibility early on. I was the account lead for a global multi-billion dollar company within less than two years. I learned a lot about the legal requirements for hiring people, how to interview, hire, terminate, etc. I worked under a lot of pressure and learned how to think on my feet very quickly. I wasn't there long but it gave me a start to my HR career.

      Cons

      High burnout factor - either you stay forever or you move on after less than three years.

      Pros

      Ability to help others find employment. Dependent upon management, you can have a lot of flexiblity and autonomy on this job....even as a temp. Kelly Services is also a very large corporation so they can help you, and others find employment anywhere in the world. It is great to know you work for a company that is worldwide. In addition, most people who work for Kelly are very nice. Your co-workers will become your family and that is something to be proud of.

      Cons

      Lack of holidays off. Low pay. Not a lot of opportunity for advancement. It typically takes years to be advanced due to budget constraints.
