Pros
This is a place where you will work hard. I have never seen an attorney job where that is not the case. There is a lot to do. However, from my initial interview with talent acquisition to the interview with the attorneys, it was stressed that this is a place where it is desired and expected that you spend time with your family. There is flexibility here unlike anywhere else I have heard of, let alone worked at. I can do most of my work remotely. I can go into the office. I can spend time with my children, going to school events, coaching them, etc. I don't have to worry about a trial schedule being dictated by a judge. I don't have to worry about a difficult and uncaring boss. I have been given tools to succeed with the changing face of technology. I have a supportive staff and a supervisory system invested in my success. If anything, There is a kindness and decency that did not exist in my last place of work.
Cons
Kemper needs to catch up with technology and better be able to provide more efficient ways to do workflows. The company recognizes this and in the next few months, we are expecting our job to get easier and more efficient with a new case management system and better document creation and management.
