Pros

Interviewed quickly after resume submitted. Offer received within couple of days. Interviewed with senior managers who were friendly and seemed to represent the company well. Work from home while the pandemic persists. 401k match, HRA, med/dental/vision/life, paid PTO, employee stock option, education support and other benefits are available and seems competitive with other similar companies. Technical difficulties were resolved with IT team fairly quickly.

Cons

Would not send out an offer letter until you actually accept the offer. Verbal offer not specific in regards to benefits offered so seems a bit like a blind acceptance. Not much nego room for salary. Training seems a bit unstructured compared with my last company.

Kemper has handled the covid-19 situation in the most impeccable way. They have guided me throughout the process. I am new to the insurance industry so i was definitely nervous when I started. But my manager and my fellow colleagues have been super supportive throughout the training process. They have given me great advice. You can tell that they care and that they want you to succeed. My personal experience has been positive so far and I look forward to growing with the company.
