No Transparency and VERY demanding

Pros

It’s nearly impossible to get fired from here unless you seriously screw up. If you put in your dues for a while, you can work hybrid For a non-standard company, pay is ok Coworkers are great

Cons

There is ZERO transparency on salary. The person next to you can have the same job and make $10k more (or less) than you. Constant procedure changes make it hard to keep in “compliance”. The claims systems and phones are garbage. One department doesn’t know what the other dept is doing. It makes processing a claim a nightmare. Management hires people who they feel are inferior to them for supervisor roles so they won’t feel their job is threatened. No real upward mobility for careers

Pros

Opportunities for business travel, expenses reimbursed very quickly, healthcare pretty good, company car

Cons

Dysfunctional management, extremely top down, refuses to listen to people in the field, one-size-fits-all approach, for not even being a Fortune 500 company is more obnoxiously corporate than some Fortune 10 companies, low pay
