Pros

Working here I've noticed that dynamic within the office, which is very uplifting. More experienced employees do not shy away from assisting you in developing the skills necessary to complete the job. Working independently is something I have always enjoyed except for taking the time to figure out meticulous tasks, however here at Kemper you have a library of tools and resources, not to mention the team you are assigned that helps you through difficult work assignments.

Cons

High turnover which results in a larger workload for existing adjusters Stressful if not able to manage time and tasks, if you start to fall behind during your daily activities it will have adverse effects on your overall ability to complete larger workloads.

Pros

I have been with Kemper for over 20 years, and think it is a great place to work. Kemper is a fast paced, results driven, continually growing company with a diverse workforce and opportunities in multiple locations throughout the country. In my years with Kemper, I continue to learn and grow personally and professionally. I have always felt like I am adding value. Kemper strives to create a culture where employees take personal accountability for their own careers. We are encouraged to own our own careers but at the same time given the support and resources necessary to enable that ownership. Mentorship is encouraged, and the occasions I have had to mentor fellow team members have been some of the most satisfying in my career. I have the pleasure of working with great knowledgeable teams who have always fostered collaboration, open mindedness, and willingly shared knowledge. The culture allows team members to be comfortable asking for help and admitting that they may not know every answer. Aside from the day to day, Kemper has recently reaffirmed a commitment to philanthropic values with resources to enable employees to find meaningful ways to contribute to their community and causes that matter. Overall, a great place to work.

Cons

As with every job things are not always perfect but in my time here the good has always outweighed the bad.

Pros

Excellent choice for employment! Everyone is very friendly. The whole office has a family like environment. The Claims Dept keeps you busy. It provides challenges that strengthen your work experience and give you a feeling of accomplishment. Reviewing and processing medical claims is very important to our customers and the entire reason insurance is sold. We are the heart of the operation at our location. Our Kemper Health Claims Mission Statement says it all: We focus on efficient, prompt, and thorough claims evaluation driven by compassion and expertise. It is our intention to provide professional service to our customers by taking ownership of every interaction and delivering on our promises.

Cons

Kemper Health's data base and system is very outdated and difficult to navigate. This is the biggest downside.
