Pros

Some good people. An opportunity to do a little bit of everything, if you can handle the stress.

Cons

Lack of focus, no accountability, professional nepotism

Pros

It is a commission only position but the commission rates are good.

Cons

The training is poor, so are the leads the company provides. I came on board as a captive agent in June 2019. Because the leads were so poor and the sales meetings so unnecessarily long and demotivating, I changed to a non captive agent after a few months. I was let go officially this week with no explanation or reason even though I was still producing sales and costing the company nothing in overhead as a 1099 contractor. I was never warned by my sales manager Ron Clarkson out of Colorado Springs, that he was petty and vengeful and that if I decided to become a non captive agent he would terminate my position and ongoing commissions out of spite. Would have been nice to have been warned ahead of time. Especially now that were in the midst of the Stay at Home order. Cold Hearted dude. Other than that the products are really outdated and overpriced for what they provide and the company is in the stone age technologically. It's literally unfathomable.

Pros

The old managers who are all now on the bi kemper side

Cons

-They pay new employees raises before they take care of the ones who have been through all of the tough years. -upper management has HR in their back pocket. - claims responsibilities never end, claims is the only dept held accountable -Alliance Unit ppl are treated different than Kemper - to this date old employees have not received their annual merit raises. - unethical promotional tactics, expect you to take on a new role and get paid later - new management is unskilled and lacks the knowledge to handle non standard claims - the 7th floor is the only floor called out for not dressing correctly - They expect you to be at 100% closing rate while receiving 6-10 claims a day including weekends and nights. - no annual bonus for company productivity - the VP is highly out of touch with the departments - you may face retaliation for standing up for yourself and voicing concerns. - roles responsibilities constantly change but the pay was never adjusted for the Alliance United employees. We went from handling pd coverage claims to unreppped bi and atty repped files with no training.
