      Pros

      The people, as individuals, are smart, reliable, and hard-working. The main office is in the Loop. They have a pretty awesome sky deck. Work/life balance is awesome. The most I've ever worked was 9 hours in a day (this, of course, is coming from a company where 12 hours was the norm).

      Cons

      Nothing current is documented. Policies and procedures for how to do your job are (if found) usually 15 years old. It's a very "this is how we used to do it, so this is how we'll continue to do it" culture. I question some of Kemper's hiring practices considering mid-management is some of the worst managers I've ever reported to. Pay is not competitive.

      Flexible hours/vacation time, competitive salary, great benefits, challenging work and great team

      Cons

      Slower periods can lead to some boring work days. Other than that, no complaints.

      Pros

      Good pay and benefits is all.

      Cons

      Don't take the FMLA. No matter what they tell you, they will force you out when you return. They will hound you until you break and then they will gladly break you.
