The downsides are virtually non existent. Salary maybe not quite as high as others but benefits are amazing

Good benefits, low cost medical insurance, pension plan. The people are nice and the company as a whole is a good place to work.

Cons

It's hard to get promoted or to transfer to a new position. The salary needs to be increased.

The company is family friendly. Staff at the state office in Louisville really care about the field staff and they try to help in anyway they can. The staff I work with in the district office feels like a family.

Cons

The work can be very stressful. Also it's hard to take time off and not get far behind.
