I’m not the type to write negative reviews but my experience has been so lack luster I wish I had checked Glassdoor before joining. Based on the poor rating of Kestra it looks like my experience is sadly the norm. The company feels void of culture. Lots of employees just eat at their desk and work through lunch. Often I could go a full day not talking to someone if I didn’t initiate a conversation. Attrition seems high, by walking around and noticing how often people are leaving. My team had several people that left within a year or two. There’s also a consistent trend of “duct tape” fixes due to the technical debt and disorganization of workflows. Lots of short term fixes that end up staying the process much longer than they should while you wait for the technology to catch up. That stacked on top of the rapid growth of the business equals a high rate of burnout.
They also use a software that notifies your manager if you’re on a website they deem “unproductive” or non-work related. It seems odd for an employer to distrust their employees that much.
If you’re looking to work here, I highly recommend asking for an in person interview to get a better read of the workplace dynamics and see if your impression is truly different than what these reviews say.
Also much to be desired for professional development and training here. Not a good environment for someone early in their career or wanting to continue learning and developing as a professional.
