One of the worst job's I have had to work.
Pros
If you have no where else to work and want to work locally / do not care for improvement in your career. Work at a local key foods since the store I worked at hired whoever and provided 3 days of training at most yet very few new employees learned how to work or didn't care. In short, the pros are very little to almost non-existant
Cons
Everything else. there is zero room is for growth Raises are in $ .25 increments You will often end up "responsible" for a manager or bookeepers "mistake" due to negligence. The store I worked at I ended up dealing with tons of discrimination due to my physical health and disabilities but that wasn't all managers discriminated on. I've seen managers fight customers and just not even care to help most due to prejudice. Long time managers (more than 10+ years) didn't know how to work with any new workers and most employees I worked with had union level concerns due to racism, sexism and other additional issues but felt they were risking their job and didn't want to get fired. Health concerns due to dirty environments were frequent.
