Pros

If you are a sales person in this company you basically own your schedule, there´s a lot of freedom regarding the way you harvest your territory. You have an always growing path, You compete against all the other employees for better salaries and better job position.

Cons

The hours are very consuming, a typical day can easily be 14 hours working. Its a Japanese company so you can expect a very low tolerance towards discipline and punctuality in every aspect of your work life. The company is based on sales so mostly if you get your sales goals is easier to get your way. If you do exactly what they ask for regarding process but you don't achieve your results there are consequences.

Pros

Keyence is a money machine. Great products. Strong management depending on the product line. Extensive training. Keyence sales people and managers are better than 90% of other sales people and managers from other top companies. Medium risk medium reward sales, commission and salary are clearly capped when you reach the top, but you will never be fired for under performing.

Cons

Japanese not an American company. Micromanagement like crazy. Japanese at the top dont understand American business and culture. Work life balance is not good by any stretch. If youre not in at 730 am on the dot you are ostracized (what if there was a traffic jam). If you are not in the management team you are a number. Underpaid compared to hours worked and sales output.

Pros

- everyone is low key and honest - no games - always make changes for the betterment of their people. This is a place where if you have an issue, they do something about it; and a place where higher ups are taken to task about the sales team not getting paid enough. They want us to succeed - commission just went up a significant amount, a change that was just implemented this quarter - raised hotel and flight limits to better accommodate us - great team work -- profit sharing was a great idea - people are intelligent and treat you the same. Mutual respect and honestly - open door policy -- and they mean it - easy to motivate yourself - great for number oriented people - challenges your mind in exciting ways - 3 entirely different career paths - work with amazing customers -- like NASA

Cons

- they work you hard, and you will put in some OT, but I love it, so that doesn't matter to me. For others, it does. - none so far. They have completely reasonable expectations and are encouraging and fun to work with
