Pros

The Pay is very compeititive and the benefits are great. The training is pretty long, but they are good at making sure you know their products quite well.

Cons

You could hit your sales goals every month, but they seem to only care about how many phone calls you make a day. They don't trust their employees. You get an email every two hours telling you how many hours you were on the phone and how many calls you have made. If it isnt high enough you will get a phone call from the manager.

Pros

Excellent training program, great resources, great benefits, decent pay, good growth potential, healthy/ethical/fair/professional environment. Job is more of a hands-on applications consultant position than your typical sales job, lots of interesting industrial problem-solving projects, and most of your clients are technically-inclined enough to stimulate highly technical discussions. Engineering skills are not completely required, but definitely a huge plus.

Cons

Still a sales job no matter how you cut it, so somewhat commision-based. Turnover is high when economy is good, or very bad, but they have a point system where you'll get paid fairly as long as you put in your hours. Fair amount of cold-calling. Training period is not as organized as it should be. Has potential for long hours.

Pros

good product training, fun atmosphere, interesting products, company focused mgmt team

Cons

your boss makes or breaks your experience. if you get a good mentor, and are willing to go the extra mile to learn the business, then this company will be a great 2-5 year adventure, but if you get stuck with a poor teacher (combined with a poor student) the entire experience will be less than enjoyable. the pay is ok, but not incredible, and the travel is exhausting...
