Pros

Recruitment is hiring nice people with whom it's easy to talk to and cooperate. Overtime is being reimbursed by 150%

Cons

During my six years at Keyence, I consistently faced hurdles that impeded my personal and professional growth. I found the management style often discouraged independent thought and innovation. This, coupled with a significant lack of emotional intelligence within the leadership, created a high-pressure environment that stifled the motivation to suggest or initiate improvements. Even for long-serving employees, there was a marked reluctance from management to build trust, despite consistent dedication and achievements. This, unfortunately, contributed to a stressful atmosphere. I experienced instances of professional devaluation from my direct manager, undermining my accomplishments and leading to significant stress, resulting in burnouts. Following a three-month leave due to burnout, I was met with unfavorable evaluation results, despite a track record of impeccable work quality. Efforts to address this with HR were met with reluctance. During my tenure, there was a conspicuous absence of discussions concerning career development or future prospects within the company. The current bi-annual evaluation process seemed flawed, fostering potential bias and lacking transparency. Feedback was exclusively verbal with no written record, raising questions about fairness and accountability. In conclusion, prospective employees considering a role in Keyence's marketing team in Belgium should approach with caution. The work environment I experienced was characterized by a challenging management style, stifled innovation, a lack of strategic thinking, and questionable evaluation practices. I hope this review provides helpful insight into potential challenges one may face in such a role.

Pros

Audi A4 avant company car (cruise control, heated seats, top quality infotainment system, self opening/closing boot and usually a brand new car given to you within 3 months of joining) Solid starting salary, £31 basic and 2-5k bonus per annum. Genuinely the best products on the market by a long shot All travel expenses paid for All the necessary equipment provided to do your job(laptop, phone, car, fuel card, hotel booking service) Top of the class sales data(customer leads,15 years+ historic sales information) Lifetime employment and 6month salary re-negotiations In my office there are multiple very kind/honest people to work with that make the job 100times better

Cons

Long time employed managers that can be borderline narcissistic and are all short sighted due to their quarterly bonus being 70% dependent on your performance. Horrific working hours, I average 14 hour days that include long commutes to my territory No excuses allowed for missed targets unless you’re actually dying Endless admin, I mean absolutely endless admin Constant stress Highly complex pricing and quoting structures Guilt tripped into overworking by hardcore managers Just a extremely demanding job in comparison to your pay packet, gets a lot better after 4-5year work but never becomes a truly manageable experience in my estimation(lots of balding managers due to stress) Complete luck of the draw as to what products you are selling, completely changes the job experience Complete luck of the draw as to your working area, could be a 1hr furthest drive or 4. Few women, not a surprise or issue as it’s a hardcore sales role but always makes a workplace less interesting High activity volume shoved down your throat every second of the day by management
