Pros

None come to mind besides it’s a decent paycheck

Cons

Everything Keyence is a burn & churn company and everyone there knows it. Territory was massive, activity goals were unbelievable, and not hitting them was not an option. Not worth the money whatsoever, and many kids will quit before even making it to year 1 mark.

Pros

Cutting edge technology that our competitors struggle to match. Training program is rigorous and detailed. You will stay late at the office during your initial training at corporate to ensure you understand the technical side of your product. Management is very supportive and direct. There is a quiet confidence at Keyence that gets your fired up and grateful to be working here. You can make a lot of money, and going to manufacturing companies to provide solutions to their pain points is very rewarding.

Cons

These aren’t necessarily cons. Process metrics can be tedious to achieve across the board, but that is based on the effort you put in to make it happen. My advice is to focus your effort on the most important metrics relative to the others. Lots of driving - this not necessarily a bad thing. Have food/ meals in your car, as sometimes you won’t be able to stop for lunch between meetings.

Pros

Above average salary and benefits.

Cons

Mgmt prefers quantity over quality, i.e. if you aren't working outside of business hours, you're not going far. Expectations aren't clearly laid out, but you're chastised if you aren't coming in early or staying late, regardless of measurable work achievements. Even salaried employees are expected to clock in/out every day. The company puts no effort towards corporate moral either and rarely takes action on employee feedback/complaints. Promotions are exclusively internal, which results in the most senior specialists moving into management, often without any real experience or mgmt training.
