Pros

It's a good first job coming out of college It gets you the experience to break into sales and the compensation is nice

Cons

They will chew you up and spit you out. The company culture only cares about the bottom line. Your success strictly depends on your product line/territory and your relationship with your manager.

Pros

Good pay, excellent training and initial investment, great products. If you're offered this job right out of college, take it and bust it for 2 years. Then reevaluate.

Cons

So much of your success depends on your assigned territory and product line. Highly structured and analytics-based so they have effective strategies but it can feel like you're hitting metrics for the sake of hitting them. Not interested in retaining the majority of their people past year 3, so the promotion structure is designed to phase people out by then. Conferences take place on weekends twice a year because it doesn't cost a sales day.

Pros

Company of aggressive growth. Employee investment from company is substantial from day one. For the most part, you will be selling top of the market equipment. People know the strength of the Keyence brand and the solutions we provide. Financially conservative - we have 15 billion in cash/cash equivalents with less than 4000 employees which comes in handy in uncertain times. Not only are we still hiring during the Covid-19 pandemic, I myself received a 25% pay increase. Meritocracy at its finest. Are you top of sales and the sales process? Expect to be rewarded for your work.

Cons

The sales process goals are often unrealistic Pay is good. Not great. Again, fiscally conservative company. No work from home. Small territories can often be the case.
