Pros

A very casual dress code, lots of PTO and free soda.

Cons

Plattform seems good on paper. When you're hired you're promised the moon in terms of company culture, benefits and growth opportunities to make up for the lack luster pay. Management spends a lot of time self congratulation, telling you how nice they are for bringing in a food truck or hosting a mandatory picnic while chipping away at your benefits and sticking you with longer hours. Also their paid benefits are a lie, they clearly tell you after you're hired how much of your pay is going to benefits, your salary is what left over after paying for your benefits, they just word it in a tricky way. You are encouraged to finger point, there's a whole system in place to do it. Your manager and emailed form upper management instruct you to blame someone if there are any issues on any project. You will not be developed at all as an employee. For the first year I was with Plattform I had training opportunists, classes and more available to me all the time. However in the past three years those have all gone away. All promotions are given to outside heirs. Nepotism has also been a huge problem in the past. The kids and friends of upper management are often given do nothing positions within the company.

Pros

No traffic for the commute to Lenexa

Cons

Bad management, culture of passing the buck, long hours, below market pay, inexperienced kids with director titles, nepotism, 3 month wait for medical benefits which HR failed to mention.

Pros

My experience so far has been a little different from some of the other reviews, even from those reviews just 2 months old. The training period for my group is 4 weeks. 1 week of classroom training, then 3 more weeks of getting your feet wet, including a mix of being on calls and reviewing tips and experiences in the classroom. The opportunity is good for someone who has thick skin, a strong will, or for someone who happens to like sales. And the training is great for someone who is looking to get experience for future career goals. The pay is great and the potential benefits are good as well.

Cons

The recruiting process is misleading to some degree. The job description focuses more on the idea of helping people go to school, sticking to the company values, and customer service more so than explaining that it is a telemarketing job. The majority of the people you speak with are looking for jobs. You are selling to them the idea of going back to school.
