Pros

R&D has sociable and smart engineers who have been there for decades. The work/life balance is great, with flexible schedules. There are great opportunities to learn a lot. They give lots of responsibility to the designers so there is a sense of ownership. The new leadership has recognized many issues with the company.

Cons

Things are run way too lean. The business is not growing. Hiring of new people is minimal. The support organizations (OF/manufacturing, IT, etc) are lacking technical expertise. There isn't a lot of opportunity to move around or to advance. The workforce is getting near retirement yet the company isn't hiring to replace those leaving. There is virtually no innovation found in the products or internal processes. The salaries and bonus structure are under par. Almost everything about this company feels decades behind the times.

Pros

- Remote work flexibility - even before the pandemic Keysight has been progressive about remote work - Good benefits package - ESPP, 401k match, 5 weeks PTO, decent health insurance options - Lots of friendly and helpful people throughout the company - Most of the company actually has a good culture

Cons

You might be reading reviews because you're looking at one of the many marketing roles that Keysight is struggling to fill. Run, don't walk, away. The burnout and the turnover speak for themselves. Moving targets and a lack of purpose keep you busy for the sake of being busy. The organization runs lean, which makes the revolving door of employees that much harder both on internal teams and our partners elsewhere in the business.

Pros

Good for cruise to retirement

Cons

With antiquated products and no place for ambition, this place is the Kodak of Silicon Valley, except that its core products are still needed in some places, so they will survive, but its hardly a place for innovation. With stringent corporate policies, they tie you down and squander innovation. That is why they can't attract and retain talent. The IT and HR systems are so outdated, that you need to exhume an old windows laptop to access them.
