The managers that are rewarded tend to be those that drive their staff to burnout for quarterly profits. Pay raises are generally 5% per year which doesn’t pace cost of living. So essentially, you can expect a 1.5% pay cut year-to-year. The company has been notoriously understaffed, by design, for years. This makes it difficult to take time off.

Pay is not competitive. Their promise is to slowly bump you up after being hired, but this takes many years.
