      Pros

      You are given the opportunity to work on unique projects all over the country. They pay very well, and you will most likely be higher paid than your peers. Training is a high priority in this company and you will be given multiple training opportunities your first couple of years with Kiewit. The company has a very young atmosphere with an emphasis on working hard and playing hard. Overall an enjoyable company to work with while you are young but very hard to make it a career. Long hours and constant relocation make the retention rate lower than other companies.

      Cons

      The job requires long hours with no compensation for overtime.

      Pros

      There are many different job locations depending on the district you hire on with. This gives you the chance to experience many different jobs and locations. The challenges change with every job so nothing gets stale.

      Cons

      The pay rate of Kiewit is on the below than average side of the scale. Everything is based on your base salary rate - i.e. move allowances, cost of living adjustments, and field work premiums. So if your base is low, it effects everything. You can go from making a decent living at one job (with a high cost of living adjustment) to living hand to mouth at another job.
