Before you join, ask the CEO to show you the Google Doc she sent out to the whole company at 3am about why we shouldn't IPO. In my experience leadership is terrible and completely illogical in her decision making process. But you don't have to trust me, just read it for yourself. The letter is pretty par for the course for the way she communicates and reasons about decisions. Read the few five star reviews and tell me they don't all sound the same. Probably all written by the CEO since it sounds like the way she talks: "highly profitable and financially healthy" … ok well then why won't you IPO Company also has a crap hiring bar because they can't get talent. Their interview process is super easy. You will be working with people who couldn't find a job elsewhere and are desperate, so they accept low comp and toxic culture. Don't let that be you.

If you’re thinking of working here, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. I wish someone had warned me before I accepted the offer. They pulled a classic bait-and-switch during hiring, promised I’d be working on an exciting project, then dumped me on something completely different and way less desirable. The CEO flat-out lies during interviews, but once you’re inside, it’s clear he’ll say anything to get people through the door. The CTO is no better, he constantly undermines employees' contributions and shuts down collaboration. Leadership overall is just toxic. There’s a complete lack of empathy, expectations are totally unrealistic, with zero support, and the pressure to overperform without proper direction or acknowledgment is just soul-crushing. Honestly, the whole experience felt evil in how calculated and careless it was.
