Pros

There are not any pros to working here.

Cons

The office atmosphere is extremely toxic - screaming matches broke out on the regular. HR is non existent and unpleasant to work with. There is little upward mobility or growth for entry employees, and the salaries are abysmal.

Pros

The people at Kineo are excellent, both personally and professionally. They make coming to work enjoyable. We work with a wide array of clients in different industries that keeps things fresh. While Kineo US has been established for over a decade, the size of the organization still allows it to be agile and feel like a start-up. Employees have the freedom to innovate within their position and submit ideas to management for the good of the organization. In the past year the management team has made it a priority to listen to employee feedback and make meaningful changes including professional development budgets, improved PTO, and a Work From Home policy. This is an organization where an individual can make an impact. Many of the Pros of working at Kineo have been amplified given the COVID-19 situation. We as employees were immediately allowed to WFH if we felt safer doing so before the office was eventually closed. As a recognition for the increased use of home internet/phone/etc management gave us a modest weekly stipend. We've been having digital lunches and happy hours to keep morale and team bonding up. Then last week Kineo delivered small care packages to us with a branded coffee mug, sweets, popcorn and tea with a kind message of appreciation. Throughout the whole pandemic the organization has been very transparent and communicated positive messaging.

Cons

One of the downsides of being a smaller agile organization is there are not as many opportunities for official upward mobility. Employees will take on new and advanced responsibilities without a change in salary or title. Some things also take longer or decisions are made by the parent organization in the UK (City & Guilds). There's been a lot of work in this area to reduce friction but it's not perfect yet.

Pros

Lovely people and great for development in the early years.

Cons

In the last few years it felt like Kineo had lost their way in terms of strategy. Kineo used to be the elearning company that customers picked as the customer service was second to none. This was lost especially after the City&Guild buy out. Everything came more about justifying spend then being a market leader.
