      I made a couple friendships

      Its not what you know, its who you know to get ahead there. The more experience you have the more likely you are to lose your job during layoffs. Routinely promoted younger people with lack of experience because they would blindly follow management. I remember a meeting where the compliance officer told us that whistle blowers were protected and then the next day told us we should make up notes in our case files. *I was younger when I worked there and left on my own for another job.

      Amazing PTO offering, free snacks

      Cons

      Very much "Us-Versus-Them" mentality with subsets of company - constantly tout "team of teams" mentality, but teams do not support each other. 'Corporate' out-of-touch with front-line workers and ignore the 'bread and butter' purpose of the organization for lofty ideals with little insight or justification. "We build the plane while we're flying" is a mentality of the organization.

      Pros

      Pretty good culture, one of the most laid back, stress free environments that I've worked for. Very easy to connect with team members across the entire organization. Generous PTO and flexible environment.

      Cons

      Being that it is a non-profit, and in a very small market the pay is not great, but some of the other perks and benefits make up for it. The cost of living in the area is relatively cheap.
