      Pros

      Great Culture, Always looking to improve and help build up the community. Staff is great to work with. The IT Dept is very quick to respond when there are issues. Lots of room for self improvement for through learning channels to help themselves better serve the community.

      Pros

      - my co-workers are the best part of my job - meaningful and purposeful work - flexible with life schedule - great benefits - lots of PTO - no micro-management

      Cons

      - tasks change from day to day depending on grant funding - lot of red-tape and bureaucracy - low pay and not very clear growth path/raises

      Pros

      Lots of PTO which you will need desperately working here. Benefits are good. It will get you a paycheck if you can’t find anything else.

      Cons

      The Michigan Works! subsidiary is in rough shape. The director is not well-liked and hard to trust. Employees keep leaving, and no one replaces them, so the small team left is overloaded with work. No attempts are made to keep the decent staff. There’s no help from management—you’re on your own to figure things out. Clients can be rude when they don’t get exactly what they want. Leadership only cares about themselves and not the staff or the bigger picture. They say they’re ‘transparent,’ but that’s far from true. Honestly, this place needs serious changes to get better.
