Pros
Perform well and they will allow you to treat others however you like. If you are a well performing engineer expect to be allowed to get away with sexism, harassment, and seemingly anything you'd like. I wasn't one of the lucky ones, but I'd imagine its a rush feeling untouchable.
You're there to have maximum value extracted. The humanity of their employees does not factor into decision making. It's nice to know where you stand, they don't pretend to care about you.
I never felt like I had to count my drinks. The company provides free beer and lots of it. Getting aggressively drunk after work is encouraged.
Interesting technologies and talented engineers.
Cons
Competitive and aggressive workplace not a fit for everyone. A few people left for this reason and I imagine a couple more will.
Free beer led to a lot of hangovers.
