Pros

-Good samaritan service - above/beyond - helpful - supportive/collaborative -Symbiotic partnerships -Inclusive -Results Drive vs. Time card duty

Cons

-Excess grace (too nice, need "tough love" / radical honesty / glassdoor reviews) -Soft-minded (kind of like leaving notes on the board) -Poor Communication (from mgmt about about any major decision) -Ambiguous (about whether we believe in our values) -Resistance to change/new (fear)(of poor leadership) -Lost of trust in leadership (to say the least)

Pros

- the Kiva community is one of the best that you'll ever work with - you can see the real impact of the work that you're doing and be proud of it

Cons

- lack of career growth and internal mobility opportunities. management will not take a chance on you and invest in your career, unless you're a white man or white woman. Multiple white employees, men especially, were given the chance to flex in their role or move to an adjacent/new role but women of color were not. - the pay is not competitive - the benefits are lacking (Kiva used to have half-day Fridays off which was one of the few redeeming qualities but I heard from current employees that that is being taken away very soon if not already) - work life balance, depending on the team that you're in, can be rough - Kiva claims to be committed to DEI values and actions but it's mainly just lip-service

Hello. We appreciate your feedback and would like to acknowledge some of your comments about Kiva. We recognize that Kiva has fallen short in terms of career growth and internal mobility opportunities in the past. However, we're taking strides in that area by implementing several initiatives to rectify that gap. Half-Day Fridays still exist as intended. We're sorry your time and experience at Kiva were less than stellar.

Pros

Based on my experiences ten years ago, it was an incredible organization to work for with really cool people.

Cons

Once they started running into long-term funding problems, it became an inhospitable place to work. Bummer
