Pros

Many of the people in Kleinfelder are very good and talented. This company has a lot of potential given the right direction by Senior Managment.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company focus has turned to the bottom line and return on investment. You are valued strictly based on either your utilization or sales. Fail at either of these and you are shelved in your career. In addition, the view by many is that their is too much of a "good old boy network" Those in the network are given a lot of opportunity and financial compensation. The rest are not.

Pros

Now that I have been out of the company for several years now, it is really difficult to note the positives of the current management regime

Cons

Recent management never seems to listen to the rank and file. It is an "Old Boys Club"... and the direct shareholder group is a "Who You Know Club" where one has to be both nominated and voted on before becoming a member. Bad managers are rarely ever fired... Instead they are demoted and allowed to stay on with the hope that they will get frustrated enough to quit.

Consistently undervalue their employees and view them as easily replaceable

Pros

Flexible daily work hours Encourage community involvement

Cons

Poor compensation Reluctance to explore new clients - Ingrained thought that certain clients will always be there, even when evidence strongly suggests otherwise. Extremely low value of current employees - Management seems to view people as easily replaceable parts, and almost never use the word "employee" or "person," even in in-person meetings. Poor support of career growth if it doesn't help the company out at that moment. This leads to issues when they pass on potential clients because they don't have people who can support the client, though there were people who wanted to learn those skills previously.
