Unique job, growing company

Pros

CEOs and management actually listen to the input of employees, and want input from lower level employees. Earnest daily efforts are rewarded in the long run. Opportunity for advancement exists because new positions open quickly. Opportunity to make extra money exists if someone is willing to put in overtime. A new and growing company which may expand considerably in the next five years -- could be a right place at the right time scenario.

Cons

Not too many for a company within this industry. Might be one of the best companies within this industry. Cons -- might not be a good fit for some people, that's just the nature of this job, and any job out there. Casino environment can be fast paced, and at times a little rough. Rigid rules regarding tardiness and absences, but far from impossible to follow these rules for any motivated employee.

Pros

- If you want extra income, there is always overtime. - Friendly, interesting, and truly great coworkers. - Instant access to CEOs (their phone # is available to everyone). They also care each associate to a great deal. - The training before you start working official is really fun.

Cons

- Swing shifts and midnight shift tend to have the worst work life balance (i.e. forced overtime due to staffing issues). - The CEOs may have truly noble intentions, but certain supervisors certainly don't live up to the company philosophy. This is particularly true for one of the night shift supervisors - I know SO many coworkers who have issues with her. Also, when she lectures an associate, the way she speaks is extremely condescending. Not very professional IMO. Thankfully she is on leave right now? - The job can get really dry. - This job will probably make you despise mankind. However, this is not the fault of the company but the gamblers. - Uneven training progress: the morning shift associates progress much faster than their swing/night shift counterparts. - And this is the biggest con of all: there is rampant favoritism in this company - you will have to be completely blind to not see it. If you are not in the clique (i.e. if not all supervisors like you) you will never get ahead. This thus become a dead end job for the majority of the employees.

Pros

if you need something part time for about 6 weeks you can make 550 bucks every two weeks in their training program

Cons

I was the fastest in my class at all the drills, but was terminated after 6 weeks of training for no apparent reason. If you work here be sure to keep looking for other jobs because you never know when you will be terminated. I gave up 2 other jobs because they said I was "hired", but then after working 20 hours a week for the first 2 months I was there I was fired, and even had more debt than which I started the job with. Keep to yourself during training and be serious the whole time, the people who got hired had no personality and sometimes wouldn't say a word the whole class. Don't make jokes or enjoy the training at all, because they are looking to see if you can maintain your composure when the casino gets loud. My advice is if you really want this job then be as quite, respectful, and honest as possible. If you act serious and look like know one will rob you they will give you a chance. Also, I had pretty bad credit and had had some charges for fighting when I was younger which probably didn't help, but I passed the initial background check and even passed the state background check so I'm not sure. Another person in training failed the drug test and got hired so really not sure what they are looking for. Basically if you're a kissass and fake you will get the job, but that's the world for you.
