Pros

Free Snacks. Bizarre monthly cash comps (are these legal?)

Cons

Stepford employees reporting to inexperienced, poorly skilled (read: inept) managers who fell into place due to a period of rapid growth. Coercive tactics to achieve positive employee satisfaction surveys. Interview to employment was a real bait n' switch. Highly successful corporations do not operate in this manner! Work- Life balance should not be ignored, employees have families.

Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is Stu and I'm KnowBe4's CEO. We have an open-door policy (a no-door policy really!) and I'm always interested in your observations and suggestions for improvement. Sorry to hear you are not happy here. I would have loved to talk to you about that in person, instead of seeing this here. Come and see me and we'll have a chat! Your experience is not the norm, we were just chosen as third best place to work in medium-size high-tech companies *nationwide*. It can't be all that bad. And of course if you do not like it here, you are free to work anywhere else. Warm regards, Stu

From the out of touch CEO to the layoffs that were said to not be coming to the low pay to the mandatory RTO to the rigged bonus game what’s not to love

Pros

If not for a global pandemic, you get a bonus.

Cons

Senior leadership is very open about being Scientologists. Most, if not all of the c suite belong to the ‘religion’ (scientology). On your first day, during orientation, you are escorted into a room (for me it was the phish bowl) and are told not to talk about religion or politics. However, scientology practices are worked into the leadership training. All management must go through mandatory training that teaches you, ‘production is the basis of morale’. I’m unsure how this place made it into the best places to work and you will be asked multiple times to fill out the survey for “greatest places to work”.

OK, let's address the elephant in the room. :-D But to begin with, there are some inaccuracies in this post. First of all, I always have been super open about the fact I'm a proud Scientologist, and that always gets followed with: "and that is not any different if I was a Buddhist, a Methodist or Jewish." And yes, we keep politics and religion out of the workplace. Everyone gets notified of that rule during onboarding. However that is 2 minutes out of a week. The claim that "most if not all" in the C-suite are church members is simply not true, and really an ugly rumor. No one knows how many church members work in KnowBe4 because we do not ask, as per the rule above. However, since 10% of Clearwater FL people are church members, you could statistically expect the same percentage to work here. We are fully EEOC compliant and do our level best to not discriminate in *any* way, as is the law. Now, there are about 20 books I recommend which were the basis for KnowBe4's award-winning company culture, and I have always practiced radical transparency about how we got here. Being chosen Best Place To Work in Tampa Bay 5 years in a row is not coincidence. Practically *all* employees love to work here. I want a place to work that is fun, where I work with a team of great people that love to kick @$$, and make a real difference in this crazy world ! We're hiring, please check out our jobs page and send your resume if you think you are a good fit! :-D Warm regards, Stu
