Good to clients, bad to employees

Pros

The services that are offered to the governments are truly helpful.

Cons

You are simply a cog in their machine. The company tries to pride themselves on caring for their employees, but I never saw it. Terrible starting salaries, with no chance of a raise, regardless of how hard you work to help the company grow. Every penny goes right back into the CEO's pocket. No flexibility of any kind, no thought of work-life balance- will continue to add things to your heaping plate, without so much as a thank you.

Still deciding...

Pros

The office is in a really great location - Castleton. It stinks around the holidays due to increased traffic, but it's nice to be in that area. Lots of places to go to lunch around there.

Cons

I'm giving 2 stars because I'm still deciding. There are some pros, but I've noticed some tension between co-workers and management (management may or may not be aware of the cynicism). I'm still working out who I can trust within the company/my department - some coworkers seem much closer with management and/or family team members than others. As I was reading through reviews on here, I did notice on a previous rating that someone in the accounting department was privy to some information that I would think should be confidential and a Human Resources/upper management situation. This is part of why I'm still trying to decide - it seems everyone knows everyone's business, whether it's supposed to be confidential or not.

Pros

Some employees are satisfied with the company. Don't know why, but not my call on their reasons for staying with Knowledge Services.

Cons

There have been a flurry of reviews lately about Knowledge Services. What upset the past and current employees I know was the cultural video and the five star ratings. Honestly for most of the current and former employees, the culture is difficult. It is hard to watch family members be promoted over other employees more deserving. Or a family member be place in a position they are not qualified for that others in the company should be placed. To see the perks the family enjoys is hard on the worker bees for their loyalty and hard work is not rewarded as well. The talk is everyone is 'family', but in reality they are just employees and very replaceable. The difficult environment comes from the top. As far as cheats, losers and thieves describing other reviewers, not true and unprofessionally stated.
