Pros

This is a very dynamic company with lots of opportunity to drive change & innovate. My personal career development is specific to me & I feel my manager is very invested in helping shape my future. I've been compensated well and like that they are true to a pay for performance culture. I've worked here a long time & can honestly say I've not wanted to look elsewhere because of how well I'm treated.

Cons

There isn't a whole lot that I would recommend for improvement. I will say that with all the change that goes on, I'd just encourage keeping up the communication and vision discussions so everyone stays connected.

Collaborative, positive, yet challenging environment

Pros

KBS Is a very collaborative, innovative place to work. With that, comes a strong sense of what Koch refers to as the "challenge process." This process is used on a daily basis by KBS employees to seek the best knowledge and drive process improvements across the different groups. Change is more or less a constant in this environment. This culture drives a sense of positivity and eagerness within the company that makes coming to work everyday enjoyable and rewarding. Perhaps one of the biggest pros of working for KBS is the senior and mid-level management. For instance, it is not uncommon to find the president, Richard Swan, chatting with employees at their desks just to check-in and see how things are going. In addition, team lunches on and off-site, team building activities off-site, and "food days" are commonplace across the company. It is evident each group leader strives to invigorate a positive environment by creating a unique, positive culture for their team.

Cons

This is not a an 8-5 job where you show up, do your job, and go home. The company has very high expectations of all employees and rewards high performers accordingly.

Pros

Best manager of my career...cares about employees' satisfaction in role, very flexible when need time off, and trust employees to make decisions. Feel empowered to make a difference by contributing to changes. Asks for feedback on improvements. Pay is satisfactory. Salary increases are based on merit.

Cons

The Atlanta location is in a less desirable area of the city...some concerns of safety outside the building and in parking area. The larger company can make becoming acclimated more difficult.
