Good and Bad

Pros

Like the culture, most of the people and pay is decent, benefits are good too.

Cons

Lack of commitment to the direction. They talk about putting customers and employees first but fight you and how to get there. Hold on to old ideas and not what employment looks like in the 21st century. In order to attract talent they will need to get more flexible.

Pros

Variety of businesses and potential opportunities, if you’re talented and willing to move around.

Cons

INSTABILITY. Things change constantly, including reporting structures, supervisors, business teams, you name it. Additionally, the strong culture creates a very COMPETITIVE environment, which isn’t for everyone. If you thrive on constant change and vocational competition, go for it. But enter with your eyes open. It can wear you out.

Pros

Good People, decent work environment on trade floor in Houston. Good area. Excellent office for people, with standing desks

Cons

The management up in Kansas is completely disconnected from what's going on in Houston with the employees. It's kind of insane, really

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the positive aspects of working at our office in Houston. We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding corporate leadership. We encourage all team members to speak up when they see potential opportunities for improvement. Our ability to make informed decisions starts with seeking knowledge from the right sources. If team members see that this is not happening within specific areas of our company, we ask that they get involved. Employees can speak with a supervisor or HR to communicate concerns and ideas, and to seek additional input on the reasoning behind certain decisions.
