Pros

*DISCOUNTS!! You get a 15% discount which works on everything (including Nike, Under Armour, Levi's, etc.) and they always have extra "booster" discounts. Sometimes it goes up to 35% or you get stackable discounts such as 20%+20%+15%. Oh! Almost forgot to mention that you receive these discounts as early as your very first day, plus if you sign up for a Kohl's card you get even more savings. *FLEXIBLE. Management here is amazing! They are super flexible if you're working a second job or going to school. They have changed my schedule overnight for me when I got my second job. They are even willing to do stuff like one week on the next week off and stuff like that. PLUS, they run their schedule on an app you can download (Kronos) and you can request off/shift changes from the comfort of your own home. *TEAMWORK. I know many jobs claim they are teamwork but Kohl's actually delivers! My job is honestly SOOOOOOO EASY because of all the help I get daily. Especially for POS Associates, you literally check out people at the registers or greet them at the door. *TECHNOLOGY. Kohl's has some pretty advanced systems compared to other workplaces. Anything you need is at a push of a button. POS Systems are always updated. "Bluebirds" (or store designated cellphone devices) can literally check a price, stock, and location of any item the store carries so you don't have to run around like a chicken with its head cut off. Plus you everyone wears a walkie to communicate through the store, which believe me, it's a life saver. *CREDIT. Although this is on my cons list as well, you do get rewards for taking the time to get credits. You get paid for each one you get, you get treats from management, and overall more hours (if you're interested in it) *EMPLOYEES. Which obviously this varies between work location and people but the employees here are just real awesome people to work with.

Cons

*CREDIT. Honestly, the only con to working here is credit. Management really pushes you to get people sign up for Kohl's credit card which isn't always the easiest thing you do. There have been some threats of losing hours for not getting credit but I've never actually dealt with that. As long as you ask each customer you have it shouldn't be a problem.

Pros

I genuinely liked almost all my coworkers. Most customers were great. I appreciated the employee discount. It was a good 2nd job for me, and when my part-time store schedule fit into my life, I was glad for it [my parttime job at Kohls]. But when things changed, the store got rid of dozens of employees with more complicated scheduling needs and that was a big loss of experienced people w/ a good work ethic.

Cons

The cons, for me, were primarily all the downsides of working retail---not so much anything specific to Kohls, or to my store. The list of downsides to working retail are as long as your arm.
