Pros

good company, depending on the store director and asst managers. Workload is manageable, as long as you are there to WORK, not socialize with your friends. Warning: slackers are the first to lose hours when things start slowing down.

Cons

Lack of discipline from managers. Or in their words, their job isn't to babysit the employees and tell them to get back to work every 5 minutes.

Pros

Honestly, it's a doable job for entry-level people looking for a part time job. Suitable for high school students, flexible schedules, and a lovely team of staff.

Cons

The store gets messed up constantly and it feels like a never-ending job of cleaning up after customers.

Pros

Working at Kohl’s as a minor/ in highschool gave myself and coworkers a lot of ability to grow in skills and customer service abilities. It can be fun at times with the right coworkers and the right managers just like any other job. The pay was fair but there was no room for greater compensation when more responsibilities were given. Kohls was always super flexible in terms of scheduling and time off.

Cons

Kohls constantly has coupons and sales events going on and coupons and Kohls cash raise a particular point of stress; kohls cash is not reliable to appear in customers kohls “wallets” and customers often felt that coupons were unfair. To work here you definitely need to be able to handle customers yelling at you, throwing things at you, and asking for managers. Honestly the worst part of the job was the customers but that’s typical of any retail job. Kohls managers also typically don’t warm up to you until you start to sign people up for the credit cards, which at times can feel demeaning because of how hard they push it— credits is obviously the only thing the company truly cares about.
