Pros

My manager and most coworkers are kind and friendly. They are an amazing people to work with.

Cons

Terrible pay. Understaffed. Too much inventory that makes the store look like a tornado hit it. Dealing with rude customers that belittle us. Crooks come in and walk out with stolen items and corpation doesn't care. Forcing us to ask each customer to sign up for a Kohl's card. Clearance sections are a mess. Nothing is folded or clean. Computers at registers always freezing up, causing customers to get upset.

Pros

I had great employees beneath me! Great co-supervisors!

Cons

Literally everything. I left because, after 10 months nothing had changed. I still was not trained fully and no one seemed to care. My store manager lied and said he was trying to promote me but in fact has nothing good to say about me. I never once trusted a soul in that building to have my back. The store I worked in was an absolute mess from the top that trickled down. My store manager did not come out of his office unless it was to just check on the front for a few minutes or it was his upfront shift. Rarely did I see him help with tasks around the store. My store manager, and assistant managers constantly struggled with effective scheduling to help drive business and ensure all areas of the store were covered. Many times as I showed up to work I would notice holes and gaps in the schedules which left us scrambling for us to pull someone away for the task to help for up to 30 minutes to an hour. Hiring new people while cutting the current staffs hours was rubbing everyone the wrong way. As I exited my life at kohls I went around and asked everyone how they were feeling. They were not happy hours are being given to unproven workers who did not want to be there. Which many new folks would leave on a NCNS. (Which I Understand at my location) My direct boss, I wonder how she landed that position. She would sneakily change schedules to fit her schedule, constantly going on vacation while all our departments needed help. Truly seemed like everyone was out for themselves and did not care about the next person. I would never ever recommend this business to anyone. $17 for a supervisor? You can go work anywhere as a part time/Full time associate for $15-$17 an hour now a days without having to be a manager. $12 for a part-time associate who does ALL the work around the store? They need a little more respect. I hope to see Kohls respecting employees in the future a bit more. Good Luck everyone!
