Pros

It was good for learning and resume

Cons

I did not like working there at all. The schedule was not steady. Management always talked bad about each other behind their back. No standard working method. The job does not require a degree Any one with a high school diploma can do it. Being in really good university it felt shameful working there after a while.

Pros

This job is better than being unemployed, and in my case, that's about as good as I could give this job. Kohl's is good for people who like to be around fashion designer clothes; the fact that you're constantly taking clothes from the dressing room to the floor gives you a chance to look at things. My coworkers were nice, and the supervisors were amazing.

Cons

This job is even worse than other retail jobs. They claim that if you try your hardest, you have nothing to worry about and that's absolutely not true. I had jobs that were impossible to do. They wanted me to clear out all 7 fitting rooms, answer all phone calls, customer service all the customers in vocal range, organize all 8 departments, and go to the register and take all go backs the worst part of all that is that I did it alone... on the weekends of all days when everyone and their mother is shopping for things they don't need. Meanwhile I have another coworker walking around asking people if they want to sign up for a Kohl's card. Have one person do all the work and ask another to try to push their cards on people even though the cashiers' are supposed to do that too? Yep, that sounds fair. When one manager tells you not to help the cashiers and another asks you to help, it doesn't really matter if you help or not because one of the managers are gonna get mad at you (rather than discussing it with the other), there's no right answer. They expect recovery associates to give out just as many Kohl's cards as the cashiers, I found out they actually keep track of the number of Kohl's cards each employee registers. This is ridiculous because sign up for the Kohl's card is at the registers! It''s easier for cashiers to get sign ups since the customer is already at a register, it's pretty illogical to have a recovery associate tell customers to sign up and then interrupt their shopping to walk to a register, sign into the register, and then let them continue shopping. 9 times out of 10 they say they'll do it when they're done shopping and then who get's the point under their name for the card? The cashier, not the sales associate that suggested it to them. The manager's were the worst. When I had questions they vaguely answered them. One of them even went through the purses, did some crappy 2 second pick up and asked me "now how hard is it to do that?" I would like to see you organize the same section for 8 hours and then try to do things super fast and energetic. This really shows how the managers were all hired as managers. The supervisors are all helpful. I learned some good recovery methods from them, whenever I needed help, they were willing to critique and answer all my questions, and guess what, they were all recovery associates like me. I think the managers should work their way up and see how easy it is. Overall, I really hated this job. If it wasn't for the fact that I had bills to pay, I would have quit a month in. I had terrible depression while I worked here and how the managers treated me, I relapsed back into self-harm.
