      My time at Kohl's started on the right foot but I felt Kohl's Corportate didn't understand the needs of my Kohl's store.

      Pros

      -Employee Discount -Part-time Insurance benefits available -Great customer service policy, Yes We Can -Great Return Policy on everything in the store, very clear for customers and employees

      Cons

      -Customers able to return things from other stores and receive a merchandise credit, if employees were not well-educated on the brands sold at Kohl's vs. brands sold elsewhere -MJM associates are expected to do a lot...and we were constantly understaffed in the department due to how corporate designates the hours each department can have in a given week. Unfortunately, our southeastern Michigan location was busier than expected for all of the holidays/special promotions -something as simple as a restroom break or a water break was typically hard to get, let alone a lunch, even when it wasn't a holiday season or a busy day

      employee discount is nice friendly coworkers

      Cons

      management was rude, never listened when you talked to them overworked and underpaid if not full time, expect 0-8 hours, just enough to keep you a little bit interested

      discounts tend to be fair

      obnoxious credit programs expected to be available from open to close with an unbalanced work schedule (could be working mornings, mid-day and closing shifts within any given week) Sales, Coupons, Promos and twice daily price changes gives a flea market effect, causing people to constantly barter lower prices for their purchases...which they get.
