      Poorly managed, inconsistent training, too much emphasis on selling credit

      Pros

      15% employee discount, 15 minute breaks (instead of the legally mandated 10), many store locations to apply to, flexible hours

      Cons

      Horrible training - inconsistent and incomplete. Learned how to work cash register by using a pdf file (that was out of date and had many incorrect instructions) and was put on register within a day. Will get yelled at by one manager for doing something the way another manager told you to. Too much emphasis on selling credit - can do everything right, have stellar reviews from customers, and still be yelled at for not making credit. Much more work than other places require for the amount of pay.

      Store Discount Decent Co-Workers Lot's of Seasonal Hours

      Cons

      Corporate basically "controls" the store and from the associate perspective looks like they try to cut costs by adding few hours and barely stocking the store unless the need to. There is little to no help on the sales floor and you are told to push credit applications on to as many customers as you can.

      employee discounts, benefits and perks are ok

      Cons

      salaries and wages are low. almost always understaffed which results in a lot of stress on busy days. very high expectations plus you always have to push credit and email. if you are not good at it you suffer on your review therefore you get very low raises. compared to expectations the compensation is very low.
