Pros

The pay and benefits are outstanding. salaried managers get 4 weeks of vacation the first year. The company also has a competitive benefits package. Customer service is a breeze with the yes we can policies.

Cons

Workload does not match payroll. The company has unrealistic time frames for completing company initiatives. Point of sale and floor coverage are inadequate on a daily basis for a high volume store. Unmanned fitting rooms are a constant issue.

Pros

time off is granted when put into writing in advance. most of the people are friendly to work with. time and 1/2 for holiday worked is nice

Cons

clickish store environment department supervisors are all young 20 somethings and have no respect for older more experienced staff below them lots of messes to clean up after the customers mess up the store tons to do and not enough time to get it done in ever low pay for all the hard work you do not enough people to do all the work required payroll cuts when sales are low but still have a messy sote to clean up from someone need to get scheduled for more than a 4 hour shift if you drive 1/2 hour or more to work

Pros

The employees are great (except for management). Somehow, Kohl's continues to attract hardworking, helpful employees. They offer benefits to PT employees, but they are pricey.

Cons

The management team acts like they took a training course on how to treat people in WWII Germany. If you are injured or sick (even in a company accident), all of your absences are unexcused even with a doctor's note. Other POS Associates at my store used fraudulent practices to open credit accounts, including signing up mentally challenged adults. When I reported this to corporate, no action was taken. The managers conspire to deprive you of your breaks if it is busy-this includes diabetics who need to eat or take insulin.
