Pros

Kolbe & Kolbe has a great management team and they are very family orientated. Everyone gets along with everyone else. Even when times are tough in this company and jobs are being slashed at other window and door companies, Kolbe & Kolbe keeps chugging along without laying off a single person. It goes to show that they arent only concerned about money, but that they also care about their employees.

Cons

The only downside is that the pay isnt as high as you would see at other places but it is made up for in many other ways. Such as flexibility, no weekends, and a friendly and fun atmosphere.

Pros

Good Benefits, gym, education opportunities

Cons

A lot of inner nonsense, management isn't going anywhere, so room to grow is limited. A lot of empty promises by management, a lot more work than is appreciated or paid for

Pros

The best thing about this place is the Kolbes themselves. Hands down. Keep in mind not all have the last name of Kolbe anymore. Amy Bruske has the best promise to make this company and their idea a louder voice in the industry. She's a capable leader, direct in her communication of vision, strong desire to make things the best they can be and a solid understanding of how to get there. James Trujillo has real, true potential and capabilities that span FAR beyond his current role. Never have I met a truer professional - that while very far in his career, could be and SHOULD be, doing so much more than all things IT. David Kolbe was a truly kind person as evidenced by all those who loved him, and my interactions with him as well. The Kolbes and those long a part of the family business are good people.

Cons

Where do I start? Unfortunately, being good people doesn't run a place. The Kolbe Concept has been around 40+ years, but with minimal market growth. The concept of Kolbe, Inc. is sound for future marketability, and quite honestly, fascinating. Their problem? Well...on the surface, and to their clients...customer service. However, they don't appear to be truly interested in identifying the root of that problem and doing something about it; they're likely to continue having challenges internally amongst teams until that fact changes. It's possible to wind up at times with sufficient inexperienced staff all doing a good job - but who will inevitably transition out of the company if things remain as they were during my time.
