The company is loyal to a fault, I’ve seen good people underutilized while someone who has been there for so long can barely do the job, or is so comfortable that they are not doing their job to the fullest extend anymore. Moving up is almost impossible since you’re either waiting for someone to leave, be fired or unfortunately pass away. There are many people who are being underpaid and constantly being overworked. The hiring process needs to be overhauled as turnaround is frequent which is puzzling because most jobs in the company are not rocket science. Management is not hands on and many people don’t get trained or kept abreast of changing technologies. I hear very little feedback or instruction. There are a lot of disgruntled people but with the job market being what it is no one is willing to leave.
If you don’t drive you’re stuck going to the USTA (Tennis Association) across the street for lunch as there is no cafeteria and it’s not in walking distance of anything. (Buses do come to the front of the building) Working from home is not an option which is odd seeing as most jobs there’s no need to be there.
