Great coworkers, everyone is friendly, some very smart people make this company work
Cons
Management is clueless, morale is poor, and the pay is too low. Managers use intimidation, and retaliation to keep employees from raising concerns

We agree, Kurt’s greatest strength is its people and listening to feedback is key. Our Employee Owners are a cohesive, highly skilled and hardworking group. It is often said that we are a lot like family. Kurt could not compete globally in today’s complex marketplace without the motivation, ingenuity and technical expertise its Employee Owners. We need Kurt employees to share their thoughts and suggestions because without feedback such as yours, we cannot make things better. Not that we’re perfect – there is always room to grow. And with this insight, we hope to improve even more. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and know that we are listening.
Benefit package.
Employee owned,.
Fellow employees were very nice.
Cons
LONG HOURS (10+ hr days, 6 days a week for the entire time I was there).
Poor production planning.
Low pay when compared to similar companies.
My location was not profitable and both corporate and local management placed the blame on the employees production.
Management seems disconnected from the reality of daily operations as they don't provide required equipment for a job in a timely manner (poor preparation/planning).

Thank you for your comments on glassdoor! We agree, one of Kurt’s greatest strengths is its Employee Owners! Because Kurt is a company with facilities in four states serving a variety of industries, we have both opportunities and challenges that are unique. Each day we find new ways to meet our customer expectations and improve what we do and how we do it. That’s how we’ve come to be an industry leader with record low turnover for over 70 years. Our customer requirements can result in overtime in certain circumstances and we do what we can to work with our Employee Owners to meet each customer’s unique needs. As we continue to evolve and grow, Kurt remains a company that seeks to improve in all areas. Please know that your feedback will be used as part of this improvement process both for the good of our clients and to make ours a better workplace place for Kurt’s valuable Employee Owners.
