Energetic, dynamic, progressive organization.
Pros
Great pay and top notch benefits. Vacation time was good as well. I can honestly say that my time with L Brands was the best experience of my professional life. Colleagues at every level were talented and passionate about the company as well as the work we did. The company is/was extremely progressive. Upper Management was well versed in market trends and had their eye on the pulse where the clients were concerned. The company and its products were extremely reputable. It was great to work for a successful organization with a good name. Loved my position. We had a ton of autonomy. I felt supported by management but was able to make my own decisions and take reasonable risks. My work life balance was really great too. Zero complaints. When I did have to travel, it was always a positive experience; great hotels and food. Had cafe right in the building with great, reasonable priced options. And last but not least...the employee discount was AMAZING!!
Cons
The office parking was miserable. My biggest issue were the layoffs and how they were handled. They announced cuts were coming but would not reveal who was on the chopping block or exactly when it would happen. I was physically ill from the stress of not knowing if/when I was going to be unemployed. The majority of people in my department struggled with the same stress that I experienced. Inevitably I was impacted by the layoffs and was devastated initially. The company took good care of us which I respected and appreciated immensely.
