Pros

free dinners, Recently renovated employee break areas,

Cons

Stand for 10 hours a day or more. Break areas just as loud as floor, Nothing to read or do on breaks other then stare at walls and people break into high school like cliques. Training classes were held on a sectioned off area of the warehouse floor, which meant it was already too loud to clearly hear what the trainers were saying. On top of this the trainers spoke bad English (some better then others) as they were born in foreign countries which is perfectly fine but when the word "world and wall" sound like the exact same thing you know there is going to be a problem. And when you politely ask the trainers to repeat what they said, and they start to get attitudes you know its not going to be pleasant. Or when its obvious they themselves are training for their training job and are not speaking loud enough with their accents over the roar of the warehouse floor for you to understand your own training. Then there are the subtleties of English language or relating to people and getting to know them which is hindered when they don't understand your questions and give you answers to things you didn't ask. Humor!.... don't bother with this here, even though its a way to break the ice and get to know people, and even though the trainers might do it, your humor will be lost on them(well some people to be fair) even though no one understood what i was saying. It would be nice if they told you what your job was before you showed up on the first day. Merchandise handler could be a broad array of things. A "junk inspector" was not what i thought i would be doing. Yes, they use the term "junk" instead of "bodily fluid" like "semen and fecal matter". btw Gloves are OPTIONAL!
