Pros

- Lots of experienced engineers to learn from - Many opportunities to try different aspects of embedded software engineering: testing, debugging, developing new features, continuous integration/build coordinating, and agile processes. - Good for new hires who want to work hard and learn - Great hours: 40 hours per week - “Unlimited” vacation if approved by manager - Fair pay

Cons

- I’ve heard it can be difficult to acquire raises. - I had a slow start. There is a lot of stuff going on at L3Harris and it is a little overwhelming. A more proper training program would be helpful.

Thank you for your review! Many of our employees enjoy our discretionary vacation policy and the variety of opportunities to develop skills through training or experience. We encourage you to discuss available training with your manager and HR Business Partner at any time. Additionally, L3Harris has a pay-for-performance culture, and annual raises are provided based on each employee's performance the previous year.

Pros

High Starting Salary, Easy Work, Corporate, there are times at work you have nothing to do, so you can browse Reddit.

Cons

You must work 40 works per week (even when not working on a Government Contract) Lunch is not paid Raises are low (mine with a standard performance rating was 2.2%) Very corporate things move too slow Boring Work Antiquated tech Management initiatives are typically done poorly Management seems to say one thing (that workers would agree) and do another thing (that workers hate) Facilities are extremely old I commonly see missing tiles, black mold, water damage, and peeling paint. No coffee or tea is provided for free, you have to buy your own. Work for home can only be done for a reason, i.e. you can't work from home if you want to.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We’d like to address a few of the concerns you listed. We recognize that we have some locations with older buildings, and we will share this feedback with our facilities teams. If you feel as though you are not being challenged by the work you are doing, we encourage you to have conversations with your manager and HR Business Partner about other opportunities that may be available to you. We do our best to try and match work for our employees that is both meaningful and challenging. Lastly, we have a pay-for-performance culture here at L3Harris, which means raises are based on an employee's performance over the previous year.
