Cons

I accepted a position at L3Harris while living in Ohio, excited about relocating to Florida. I was particularly drawn to the role because it involved both Special Access Programs and Sensitive Compartmented Information, areas where I thrive and didn’t want to lose my expertise. However, I found that the job description and what was promised during the interview were significantly misrepresented. A week before my move, my supervisor informed me that he had appointed another new hire as the manager, despite prior discussions suggesting that one of us would be chosen for that role. I felt blindsided, but having already sold my house, I felt I had no choice but to proceed. Upon starting at L3Harris, I faced a distressing situation involving sexual harassment from a lead on my program. This made the workplace uncomfortable for not just me, but for everyone in my hallway. Despite raising concerns about the lack of SAP involvement, my requests were largely ignored. After five months of advocating for myself, I decided to seek employment elsewhere. I approached HR to discuss a pro-rated repayment of my sign-on bonus, citing that I had accepted the position under false pretenses. Unfortunately, they dismissed my concerns and insisted I repay the full amount without any discussion. I later learned that the individual who had harassed me had a known history of similar behavior. My overall experience at L3Harris was incredibly negative, and the company showed little interest in understanding my situation or my reasons for leaving. This environment was the most toxic I’ve encountered in my lengthy career, especially as a woman.
