Pros

The people at LIDP are all very kind, welcoming and fun to interact with. They’re professional when completing tasks and collaborating with others. We have frequent company activities for team building which really help grow better working relationships with others. Those in management always seem to be very knowledgeable and provide excellent direction as leaders. My position with LIDP has provided me an opportunity to gain a wealth knowledge of new technologies, methodologies and in the field of life insurance. The benefits are very generous. The CEO, Bill, has always been great to work with and seems like an overall very nice individual. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with such great people in a fun and growing company. I love working here and I genuinely look forward to going to work each day.

Cons

Occasional lack of interdepartmental communication, but it hasn’t been an issue that impacts operations.

Pros

Nothing at all. Terribly run company.

Cons

This company struggles with organization, management, and accountability. Communication is a two-way street when there is a healthy company culture, but when that culture is lacking and professionalism is absent, an "open-door policy" doesn’t truly exist. Regarding the "accountability is a two-way street" comment, I want to clarify that I did make efforts to raise concerns during my time with the company. Unfortunately, I found that management was rarely available to discuss these issues, and the "open-door policy" felt inaccessible. My concerns were often not taken seriously or addressed in a meaningful way. In meetings, I frequently felt unheard, which made it difficult to have productive conversations or make progress on important matters. Additionally, I felt that management, particularly HR, was unqualified and overwhelmed by their responsibilities. There was a noticeable divide in how certain employees, particularly family members of management, were treated differently than the rest of the team. This created a sense of nepotism and favoritism, which impacted the overall culture and morale. The lack of professionalism within HR and management made fitting in with the team challenging and contributed to an environment that lacked gratitude and respect for employees.

We’re disappointed that you chose to delete your original review along with our respectful response, only to repost a more critical version without context. While we genuinely welcome feedback and remain committed to improving our culture, this approach undermines the opportunity for constructive dialogue. We’re saddened that your experience here didn’t meet your expectations. Our goal is always to maintain an open, transparent, and supportive environment, and we regret that we weren’t able to address your concerns in the way you had hoped. We take all feedback seriously and will continue to work on improving communication and accountability. We hope this response encourages a more positive and open discussion moving forward.

Opportunity for Growth

Pros

Small but stable company. There are great opportunities for growth and exposure. If you're a good fit, there's no shortage of interesting challenges to get involved with. Benefits are solid. Health insurance is good and premiums are covered 100% for the employee and are nominal for dependents. 401k and matching are nominal. Dental, vision, and life and disability insurance are available and affordable. Unlimited PTO and flexible for scheduling and working location.

Cons

Small company means less red tape, but also fewer resources to work with at times. Never really becomes a showstopper, but can pose challenges.
