They had potential, but blew it with some bad management hires

Pros

The people there, the, non- management people, were always wonderful to work with.

Cons

There were some great managers that were making improvements and pushing towards current development strategies. They hired in a manager who purpose was to make IT Development 'more efficient'. Instead, she cut initiatives that were working well and producing good results and employed outdated methodologies like Waterfall development and slapped it with the label of 'the LKQ method of development'

Pros

Due to LKQ's business model the company may have an off year or two but unless something catastrophic happens internally it's not going anywhere.

Cons

From an IT prospective they pay WAY below the national average. (In the Nashville market at least.) At times there were disconnects in communication from the managers to the teams or individual workers. This caused trust issues.
