      Terrible Leadership and VPs

      Pros

      Working with dedicated employees at branch. Company kept good inventory levels to sell from.

      Cons

      Titles get in the way of smart decisions. Especially above branch level management. From district level and above it is all about getting the largest bonus possible while disregarding true needs and employee needs. Very hard for a driver or warehouse person to receive a raise. Ran by VPs who have no clue about day to day operations. Everyone is a number to DMs and VPs. Almost every employee at branch level is made to feel that their job is on the line daily. Regardless of their performance. Not a fun place to work.

      Pros

      If you are in the beginning phases of your career, LKQ can offer opportunities to learn and interface with new technologies that you may not have been exposed to in the past.

      Cons

      LKQ has grown very quickly as a company, but has not shown an interest in investing in IT in order to meet the new demands this growth has created. Leadership consist of "lifers" who have very little to no experience in enterprise IT, and as such are unsure how to use IT assets to their benefit.
